Have you ever been to Souda Bay, Greece? Do you like it?

I come from the island of Crete and specifically form Chania.THere's nothing there to see on Souda bay.I mean it's nice but it's a harbour ,a port for ferry boats.There are so many places around that you can visit that you won't regret missing Souda bay!!!!Have a good time and if you need any more tips,just let me know.

Yes, I've been there many times. There is nothing there except the harbour and the military compound (the american base).

The provincy of Chania where Souda is located has many beautiful spots and villages to visit.

There is another Souda in the south of Crete in the provincy of Rethymno (25 inhabitants or so). Which is much, much nicer and only half a mile from where I'm now. (the beach picture you'll find on my 360 page was taken close from there yesterday).

Hello dear!
I have been many times, especially when my sister was living in the Navy's housing, the best around there! Super nature! Excellent view, perfect climate, ...
Of course, I would prefer the North side, since there are nicer beaches, although I would prefer other areas, since Suda bay has been used a a port, also, navy station, etc.!

OK , I haven't been in the whole Souda bay.I have seen the area cause Souda is also a port.So arriving there by boat , you can see it .
However... What to do in Souda?There is nothing,
And the beautiful city of Chania is only 8Km away... :)

Oh..BTW , yeginosman... you are off topic ! Souda is still Greek... what a pitty ha?

I have spent four months in Souda while serving my military service. It must be THE ugliest place in the otherwise wonderful island of Crete. should you choose to go there make sure you leave within the next seconds. Have fun! :-)
