The Netherlands is a extremely tolerating country. Anyone can go and get no crap about it. I think you'll be fine. My dad went to the University of Groningen. He enjoyed his years there a lot.

You will fit in fine. From what I have noticed, the dutch ignore everyone equally... and I mean this in a good way! LOL!
