3 months and I have been married 6 years. It sounds really cheesy and cliche, but I just knew she was the girl I was supposed to marry.

Also, I had some long lasting relationships previous to being married. One lasted 3 years, others 5 and 2 years. In those realtionships, I never felt the desire to get married.

Though I only dated my wife for 3 months before we married, I was able to meet her whole family. We did this crazy cross-country road trip and visited both her family and mine.

We have one child and are expecting another one soon.

My only piece of advice, no matter how long you have known each other, is to meet the significant other's family and friends. By doing so, you will have a more accurate picture and gain valuable insight into your potential mates background and personality. Do a background check too. It could not hurt.

5 a million/2 years of courting till engagement 2 year engagement can were jointly 7 a million/2 years and lived jointly for just about 4 years after we are married. Why did we wait so long? We were 15 and 16 after we met. we will be 23 and 24 with the help of the time we are married. i'm in common words 20 now and that i'm already reading my second degree, and dealing in a specialist interest. My substantial different is preparation to possess his own business enterprise, which we ought to continually have on the top of next year (when I graduate my second degree) so we are fantastically financially sturdy. we would not also be pondering this if we were not. We were genuinely going to purchase a house rather of a wedding ceremony, yet we were given uprooted (area sensible) with my substantial different's interest, so we keen to get married then purchase the living house rather of purchase the living house then get married.

My husband and I dated for two years before we got engaged and were married a year from that. It wasn't a short period of time but about a year after we were married we split up. We were apart for the past year and I moved to California. He divorced me while I was there. Even after all that, we have since reconciled and are now working things out. We are even moving to Oregon so we can leave our discouraging past behind us and start over. So I guess it just goes to show, if you love someone it will work out no matter what comes between you both.

We got engaged after 3 months. We went shopping for wedding rings a month after we started dating. We've been married almost a year and have known each other now for 3 years.

i knew a girl who dated a guy for 5 months and got engaged. Nope it didn't work out, she ended up meeting another guy, got engaged to him and that didn't work out. She didn't get married to either one of them. Guess what? She's engaged again. I don't know how long this one will last, but as far I know she's still engaged to him.

2 and a half years. I have heard professionals with family therapy say you should be engaged for at least 2 years; this apparantly is long enough to learn what you need to know about each other as you work towards this level of commitment to ensure this is what you want to do.

I've been married 15 years.

My wife and I dated for 5 years, lived together for 2, then got married. It's worked out beautifully with 2 kids and a very happy couple :D.
