The closest thing I can thing of to this situation would be what they call a "missed miscarriage". This is when the fetus dies but is not expelled and the fact that it has died is only picked up on a ultrasound scan when they can see there is no heartbeat. Even with this you would likely have some symptoms such as a small amount of blood or some cramps. But I have heard of women who have had missed miscarriages who say they had no bleeding or cramps at all. They just felt that something was not right with their pregnancy.
The thing they often all seem to mention is that all the early pregnancy symptoms such as nausea, sore boobs, etc, just disappear, overnight as it were. This is sometimes another indication of a missed miscarraige.
If you have had a missed miscarriage then the only thing they can do is to clear out the contents of the uterus, usually through a procedure called a D & V or a dilation and evacuation. This is very important as the longer the tissue stays in the uterus the greater the chances of infection and complications.
Thankfully missed miscarraiges are fairly rare.

On Feb 14th (at 5 weeks) I had menstrual-style cramps and moderate bleeding. They drew blood and my HcG was really low (81) and I was told that I was miscarrying. They monitoed my HcG and it continued to rise. My bleeding stopped after about 4 days. I was positive that maybe they were wrong! A few days later (Feb 24) the bleeding started again. The emergency room told me I was at the end of a miscarriage. My HcG was at 650.After a sonogram, they said my cervix was empty, not knowing much I went home. They missed something big. Within 2 days of my ER visit (Feb 26) I went to the ER again with SEVERE cramping on my left side. My HcG was at 857. They did a sonogram and I was rushed into emergency surgery for an ectopic rupture. What you could be experiencing could be many things: My doctors say some people do bleed a little normally. However, it also could be a miscarriage or an ectopic. Have you had your progesterone and HCG tested? That could give you answers. If it is dropping, you are most likely miscarrying. If it is rising, but NOT doubling every 2-3 days, you most likely are ectopic. HOPEFULLY you are just one of the very few who bleed some. I wish you luck. If it gets worse, get to the ER overnight or this weekend. They will check your cervix to see if it is open or closed. CLOSED is a great sign. Good luck. Email me if you need any info or support. Good luck!

You can have a miscarriage and not know it. I went in for a check-up when i was 12 weeks with my 2nd baby and they could not find the heartbeat. I had to have an D&C. I did not have any pain or bleeding. I think it just depends on the circumstances. My 3rd baby i had the bleeding and cramps and lost the baby. Thank God i finally i had another healthy little boy. I hope all is well with you. If you think something is wrong go to the doc. Good luck!!!

well i had a miscarriage at 6weeks or so and had bleeding and cramping BUT i recently lost my daughter at 37 1/2 weeks and didnt have any bleeding but i did have slight cramps. actully they where more like contractions really. so i guess its possible it depens on how far along u are or how your body reacts to it, you should speak to ur doc or ask for a ultrasound or if they can check with the dopler if ur concerned

You may not cramps, cause when I had my miscarriage I did not feel pain, but the bleeding went from spotting to clotting.

I only spotted for 4 weeks and them the bleeding and pain set in, and come to find out I had misscarried when Ihad started spotting and ended up having to have a DNC. Go to the doc and have them check the heart beat if you are really worried
