Best I can recall our flight from NYC to London was about 6 hours give or take. Last time I flew to California from NYC was about 5 1/2 hours. I would plan on 10 - 12 hours.

You can only go from San Francisco in about 10:00 long hours. Comming back it is a shorter flight. Take a late flight and sleeping pills.

I am assuming you mean Oakland California, I will guess 8 hours including layovers, and also there will be a big time change, of about 8 hours, not counting day light savings time.....

well u can travel to san francisco and from there u can easily go to oakland by road.it will take just half an hour.there are no direct flights from london to oakland.but british airways and united serve san francisco twice daily and virgin atlantic serves san francisco once daily from london.all flights from london's heathrow airport.the flight's are around 10:45 hrs.

this is about 8/9 hours. The jet lag on the excess of could have you ever unsleeping until eventually eventually evil situations in the morning and shattered once you awaken. The jetlag on the formerly could have you ever waking spooked in the approach the evening. IMO the latter is the more serious.
