Sorry, but I'm skeptical that a ph.d student would be seeking literature on Yahoo! answers. Did your university's library burn down and online journal subscriptions expire? If you're really feeling lazy try Google Scholar, but that's going to be one lame lit-review if you're going to trust the Yahoo! community!

In my opinion, the greatest breakthrough in nanotechnology is the discovery of nanobacteria, which may be the precursor for at least three hundred diseases; many considered to be untreatable.

If you know someone who suffers from a neurological disorder or symptoms of excess calcium deposits, and their condition has been declared untreatable by their physician, this would be a great path of investigation.

People who may be susceptible to conditions related to nanobacteria have often been exposed to considerable environmental stressors, like v.o.c.'s (volatile organic compounds).
Painters, lawn spray techs and factory workers often fall into this category.
