What will be the best drifting technique? Is there any easy-to-follow and steps-by-steps sources?

I agree with ahab_orr above. It is possible to drift a FWD car but its harder to do. Some say it requires more skill than a RWD. It would be best to start with a RWD car like a 240SX. It would be pointless to use your Daihatsu you would probably just blow it up. The main technique is to use the hand break

With the clutch in, pull the E-brake with the clutch. Simultaneously, take your foot off the gas pedal until the car swings completely sideways.

Counter steer the wheel in the complete opposite direction of the turn. This releases any tire grip from the front tires.

Drop the E-brake. Hit the gas full throttle. The car will continue to drift.

When you feel the car coming out of the drift, rapidly release the steering wheel, and let it spin to straighten itself. When it does, grab it, and cruise out of the drift.

You will have a hard time drifting with this car. Drifting is easiest and most effective with a RWD car with a differential lock. A lot of the people here come from USA, and if you are one of them you are in luck because in USA most of the cars are RWD, so you can buy an old one, and weld the differential (this way you will have a permanent 100% diff lock - thats the way we do it in eastern europe and it is very cheap), this car will always tend to overseer and is intended just for drifting, you cant use it on the road - it can be very dangerous.

If you are set on trying with your car think about safety first. Find a big parking lot with no one around. Get some speed on a straight (not too much at first 20-30mph), turn the wheel hard, pull the handbrake (car ovesteers), floor the gas pedal (the car should pull out and extend the slide - the diff will only put the power on the inside wheel, so it wont pull very well - for serious drifting you need a diff lock, RWD a plus)

The most important thing is to keep your own and other pepople`s safety in mind.

1 litre may just be a bit too small, but that kind of car is great for drifting...get a better engine, performance tires and brakes and you're ready

Why do want to abuse a nice old car like that?
