These sound like early pregnancy symptoms to me. I had all these symptoms - period pains for ages, sore boobs, weeing all the time, nausea, pink discharge before I found out I was pregnant.
As for your negative pregnancy test - well, pregnancy tests can be false negatives if they are performed too early or at the wrong time of day (or if your urine is very diluted through drinking a lot - so the HcG hormone is not present in such great amounts). I would test again in a few days time or get your doctor to do a test as you may very well be pregnant with these symptoms.
If you are not, I can only think it is a reaction to the drugs clearing from your system. I would definitely see your doctor, but please do another test or get him/her to arrange one for you. If your pregnancy is not showing up on the shop-bought urine tests you may need to have a blood test done as these are very sensitive and can detect even very early pregnancy. Your doctor can arrange this.

To be honest, there is no way to answer your question correctly because every woman is different. After stopping the pill woman's bodies do change because they have to adjust to not being on the pill anymore and our bodies will release any synthetic hormones still in our systems. However, your symptoms sound extreme to just be stopping the pill.
To be honest, it sound like you are having early pregnancy symptoms. Tender and increased breasts, nausea, discharge, fever, frequent urination, etc are all pregnancy symptoms. It is highly unlikely that your body would be going through all these changes just because you are off the pill.
I have been on the pill for six years. About two years ago I stopped taking them for two months. The only symptom I had was a missed period because my body needed to return to it's original cycle. I have never heard of any woman having such symptoms from getting off the pill. I think you may have taken the pregnancy test too soon. The earliest a pregnancy test can be taken is 5 or 4 days before your next period is due. I would say, take a pregnancy test again, try EPT or First Response and definitely consult a doctor to make sure everything is ok.

Some women get extremely fertile when they stop the pill and fall pregnant straight away. It could be that you are one of them. Others don't ovulate normally straight away and it can be months before they get pregnant.
I stopped the Pill 2 months ago. I was a week late on my period (a week later than my normal withdrawal bleed would have been) My period was normal for the first day then it petered off very quickly and stopped within 3 days. This is not normal for me but stopping the Pill can do odd things to your body.
It could be that your period hasn't started yet and is going to be late, like mine was. Give it another week. If your period still doesn't start, do another test. You could be pregnant (the symptoms suggest something) but the hormone levels could be too low for the home test to pick up. You need to give them a chance to pick up a bit before the test can detect them.
Another alternative is that you're not pregnant and the symptoms are more in your head than anything. I'm not being nasty - I've done the same thing myself. It's easy to fool yourself into believing you could be pregnant by taking these symptoms and associating them with being pregnant. It's easy to do, especially if you want a baby.
Good luck with this and I hope you get the outcome you want, one way or the other.

yeh it's normal sweetheart, it's just your body adjusting to your own hormaones taking over again. The pinkinsh will be the start of your period. You're lucky, I didn't have one for 3 months after coming off the pill and having my withdrawal bleed.
If the pinking doesn't develop into what you would call a proper period, and it's just some light spotting, and you still have these other pregnancy symptoms, I would advise doing another test in 2 weeks time. The spotting *may* be implantation bleeding, which occurs a week after conception (not all women get this).
Good luck

I quit taking the pill in February 2006, after 10 yrs. I experienced all of the symptoms you have stated, and also believed that I could have been pregnant. I did call my doctor, and he had me come in for an exam. The pregnancy tests were all negative, and the symptoms were 'mocking' that of pregnancy. Doc said that for some women, it can take several months for your body to regulate itself again from quitting the pill. Since then, my periods have been very irregular and I have had some break-through spotting here and there.
I would call your doctor and make an appt for sometime in the new future since you have quit the pill. Good luck to you and hope it all works out!

I have been off the pill for a few weeks myself now and have been getting some of the same symptoms .. breasts, toilet and neausea as well as mood swings and completely breaking down in tears for no apparent reason. I have also tested negative, although i want a positive. I wonder if it could just be effects of coming off the pill ??!!

This sounds pretty normal to me. When you were on the pill your periods were regulated. Now you have come off, your periods may be slighty irregular and yes i get all those symptoms when I'm due for my period. (Well i did before i went on the depo injection). If you still havent come on by next week though, do another pregnancy test.

I do not want to worry you but you should go to your GP ASAP and hopefully get a referral to Early Pregnancy Unit @ hospital. You may well be in early stage of pregnancy and having a threatened miscarriage and you should be monitored to make sure it is not an ectopic pregnancy which could prove fatal. If you have any localised pain in your lower abdomen on one side or pain in your neck go straight to the nearest hospital as this is a sign of ectopic pregnancy rupturing/bleeding into your abdomen and must be operated on ASAP. Don't rely on urine pregnancy test get a blood test done by your GP or hospital

try not too worry, depending how long you have been on the pill, it will take a while for your bod to get back to normal, and for your periods to return to any form of normality, please take precautions for a while, think 3 months is good, and that will give you time to recover from the pill. when that time is up, just go for it, try as hard as you can and enjoy yourself, it can take up to a year to fall pregnant after coming off the pill, so try not to worry, took me 9MONTHS of v.hard practicing to fall pregnant with my last baby. also as far as the other side effects of coming off the pill, remember that you have been taking some mega hormones, and this is just your bods way of getting it out of the system, and trying to find some normality. if you find you are feeling really urgh. then try taking evening primrode oil, for a while, i know its old fashioned, but it has worked for me and some of my friends, though not all. GOOD LUCK!
