please settle an argument my sister and i are having. I say if you were a POW in the war (WWII:Korea: was being discussed) that the captors are told Name/rank and serial #. My sister states only Name and rank are repeated. Who's correct.? ALSO-THANK YOU MEN AND WOMEN OF THE ARMED FORCES FOR PROTECTED OUR COUNTRY. WE LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!

The movies will have us believe that name/rank/serial number are all captors are gonna get out of POWs.

Geneva Convention states:
a POW must give name, rank, service number, and date of birth.

i think it is name rank and serial #.
it is on your dogtag, which obviously is accessible to the enemy anyway.
