All African Americans over age 18 have the right to register to vote and vote in every election for their city, county, state, and in the nation just like every other race in the US. This is protected by the law. If you're concerned by the lapsing of the Voting Rights Act, that was merely a reinforcement of the Federal laws to further punish racist groups like the KKK for intimidating and physically keeping minority ethnic groups from voting. Many believe that we have corrected that problem now and the Act is no longer necessary.

Well, African-Americans won't lose the right to vote in 2007, certain issues are up for review like monitoring voting at polls, or a ban on poll tax and things of that nature.

The 15Th Amendment, dated 1870 gives African American Citizens the right to vote in America. The right to vote act in 1965 signed by President Johnson, just reinforced that amendment. I've seen the fake email going around and checked in urban legends and its just something to get people riled up. For what purpose, I have no idea.

African Americans have the same right to vote as anyone else.

Laws passed during the 1960's were designed to ensure tricks (such as "literacy tests", poll taxes, etc) are not used to prevent anyone from voting.
