I am considering taking a position with a company offering a contract to hire position. Does anybody have experience with it and have you ever NOT been hired after a certain period of time??

There is nothing wrong with contract employment except that you may have to risk being fired without proper notification. Also you may be frustrated when you get to know about the benefits other staff are enjoying which are not applicable to you. However, the good news is that the experience Willl worth it and the industry wil always prefer an old hand. If you work on your contentment level and you can be vigilant, sky is the beginning.

Good luck.

Whether or not you get hired will depend on your performance. they have a chance to see you and your work and work habits. i think it is a good idea, but the slackers and bad attitude folks do not get hired. only the best workers.
