Actually it is something like that....fact.
You may disagree but it is a fact.
I have nothing against Americans, but perhaps they could be a bit more cultured as a whole. The people I meet (Americans) are very cultured, but that is just the circle I hang around with.
These stats show America as a whole as being uncultured and could even suggest they think America is a superior country so no need to see others.

No idea if that stat is correct but I am sure that the vast majority do not. America is a HUGE nation and most of its citizens will never see half of it in their travels so it is little wonder that fewer Americans travel out of country.

Well if i had the money to travel outside the US i sure would. Other then that i have no reason to leave because i dont have the money to travel to other country's, if i did i wold get a passport.

Because American's are too self-absorbed to see that there is a whole world outside of the US. I never vacation in the states...everything here is crowded, dirty and full of rude people.
(And the not fitting into the photo booth thing...very true! Too many fat Americans.)

because the rest of the world hates them. the 20% that do own passports are probably in the army

Why should they? Especially after 9/11 most are content to just remain in their own country.

I don't have a passport because I don't have the money to visit other countries.

Because our country is great enough to take avacation within the U S. Besides we work to hard to spend all of our money on cross-country trips and air-fare
