Run out the front door to greet her. Plant a big wet one on her...keep hugging her all the way into the house. Keep telling her how glad you are to see her...more hugs and kisses...
I say kill her with kindness....she will be so floored and speechless that maybe she won't have time to piss anyone off. If you could get a few more people in the family to do the same maybe she will think she pulled into the wrong driveway and leave. ...Ha

Treat your grandma with love, You don't have to sit and listen to every thing that comes out of her mouth. When she start to piss you off just get up and leave the room. When was that last time some one took her to see a doctor? She may need doctor's care.

sit there and let her talk say nothing when she is done get up and leave the room.If she gets all the smart comments out at once the visit might be more pleaseant.You are lucky to still have a grandma mine passed away 26 yrs ago.

Old people always think they have the right to do & say what they want, they don't but they do anyway. What i do when people are being pissy is ask them if they want a pop-cycle? They never know what to say after that. Then i go get them a pop-cycle so they can cool down. I also pretend they are not their when they are being a total ***.

If she says something mean to you, just tell her that you don't like bieng treated that way. But in the nicest way you can. You can't be too nice to her but don't be super mean at the same time. I learned that the hard way. Just remind her that you didn't do anything mean to her (if you didn't) and that you don't want to be treated that way because it isn't fair to you. And if she gets everyone pissed then tell her that everyone didn't do anything wrong to her and that it isn't fair to anyone.
If you be too nice she will take advantage of you and then will do it to you the next time. I've learned that the hard way too!!

Ignore her! If she is that bad then just tell her that her comments upset you and you dont want to deal with her and her negativity and walk away.. If its that bad leave for the time she is there or just go to your bedroom to watch tv or read or do anything away from her-- If your family makes a big deal about your attitude explain to them you rather walk away then say something to upset her or disrespect her! Hopefully they will understand-

look how much longer shes been on this earth maybe she feels she has the ticket to do that!! instead agree with her and make her stay comfortable, maybe she can feel that no one wants her there!!instead of getting pissed about what she says take in to consideration. its only for a day not a life time!!cheers!

i am at my grandma's house right now... But the lucky thing is is that we live on opposite sides of tehe country! So, just deal with it! If you need a getaway, come up with an excuse to get her out of there! :)
