Aloe Vera gel (refrigerate it to make it a little cool). There is also a cooling gel made for sunburn.

After sun, lukewarm/cool baths, Aveeno or oatmeal in tub for itching and to take out some of the pain. Banana Boat also makes an aloe vera spray with novacaine or something like that that's been very helpful for my sunburns. Teach the kid to wear sunscreen and clothes now...I wish my parents had!

No big, but of course i wouldnt know that because i never got burnt because i have that kind of olive skin. Well i think i got burnt a few times when i was about 5 or 7.

try some children's tylenol for the pain, and definitely some aloe gel. aloe is an amazing thing.
