It depends on how long you look at it and how sharp the monitor is. I would suggest resting your eyes at least every hour by getting up and doing something else. If your monitor is blurry then looking into it for long periods of time could harm your eyesight. I recently bought a new LCD monitor because the on screen letters were looking blurry on my old one.

Not in normal usage.Let said few hours with half or every hour , take five minutes rest .Like look far away.Room lighting must also be bright enough for reading.Playing of computer games for long hours is the main cause don't you agree?The above is my personal view ,for better answer ask the eye doctor.Thanks

If I'm looking at a tv and/or computer screen for consecutive hours, I start to get headaches.
That means some damage is probably ocurring somewhere.

No, they may damage your wrists, if you type a lot, but use of your eyes does not damage vision.
