He deserves the Golden award. He played the best. He has no record of ill temper except this one and the one with a Saudi Arabian. He is a shy and gentle person. His team respects
( and the France) as a nice captain. He is not even doing the act of maradona.
He just lost his temper in the middle of a hard match. That was his last game.
And that was Italy with lots of yellow and red cards. One butt on MC Bride face. Remember?

Above, you'll see some very convincing reasons why women should not govern men's football.
Zidane was called a dirty butt-fu**ing Muslim terrorist, and then Mazzaratti said that his mother was an Algerian whore.
It was a clear provocation intended to remove the best player
in the world from the penalty kicks, and it worked.
The person who owes the apology is the Italian snake who decided he wasn't able to beat Zidane fairly, and who intentionally tarnished the WC Final, the World Cup and Football in general, but especially his team's victory.
And the only people to whom Zidane owes an apology are his teammates--but given the circumstances of his mother's hospitalization hours before the match, I think they all understand.

Voting was closed during the game. So the answer is that he should keep it by the rules of FIFA. However I think it would be a great gesture if Zinedine would be willing to give back the Golden Ball. In one short moment he let his legacy, his team, and his country down.

It was not acceptable politcally the actions done by Materrazi against Zidane wanted to disturb him during the match as well as the reaction done by Zidane against Materrazi. Both the actions and the reaction should be well studied and avoided in future.

I already asked that question, although I never gave my feedback.
I think he should make a public apology to all those he hurt...then he can keep it....otherwise pass it on to the 1st runner up (Cannavaro) who, IMO, was a better player during the entire time at the WC, while Zidane only got better towards the end. Don't you think?

of course not! i think that the Italians should be taught a lesson, because they were really exploiting Zidane in the game. they were provoking him thus leading to an ugly predicament which contributed to Italy's chances of winning. it wasn't really his fault.

No, but i think he should release a statement, accepting his mistake. He is supposed to be an athlete that kids look up to, and has to set an example.
