I took a pregnancy test last night. On the instructions it says that if the VERTICAL line is a light shade it may still be a positive result.
I purchased the equate pregnancy test.
my case the HORIZONTAL line is a bit light, however the vertical is very visible..
so basically I had + - as a result. (The plus sign had the Veritcal line very visable and the horizontal , still on the plus sign was a bit lighter.
I took it again this morning and got the same result.. does that mean I am pregnant???
If both signs were - - (negative) then that would mean I was not pregnant.. but i had + -
i hope this makes sense.. it's kinda hard to explain in writing. :)

Try taking a different test. I took clear blue easy, it was easy to read, and you can see through it so you know you did it right. there are also digital ones that simply say (pregnant) or (not pregnant). good luck.

If you have other symptoms of pregnancy you are more than likely pg. I would wait a couple of days and then take the test again or go to a clinic where they can rreun there teat or do a blod test thst is almost fool proof. With my first child I kept getting negatives but had no cycle and was getting bigger and had tender breasts. Until I was almost 5 months along. With my second child I kept getting neg and pos. so I went to the doctor hada blod test and got the postive. After that the tests were more reliable and read when I was or wasn't. Good luck

So the side that was light is the side that the positive result shows? When that happened to me the doctor said that they experience that also...when your barely far enough along to detect it and there is not enough of the pregnancy hormone in your urine yet. You could also try another brand, or wait another week or two to take another...but still pretend your pregnant and don't drink or take any pain relievers you shouldn't (only tylenol). Also you took the test in the morning when the pregnancy hormone is at its highest...congrats your pregnant!!

That's a positive. The vertical line is the one that tells you whether you are pregnant. The horizontal line is just the control line so you know the test is working.

If you can see two lines even if one is light there is a chance you could be pregnant. I would go see a doc. My guess is that you are.

It would be good to test again. To double confirm again.
Best solution is that just go to the doctor ..... they would be able to provide you with accurate result.

yes it is positive i had the same problem with them my last pregnancy buit i was pregnant go to the doc to have another test done

Wait a week for those hormones to build up a bit, then try again!

yes u are pregant i told one test and my was like that too and i throught i was not pregant so i went to the health dept here and took a test and they told me i was pregant now i got a beautiful two yrs old son
