The bomb attacks on the civilians in Mumbai are the most recent examples of this. What frees the terrorists of the guilt? No matter how extremist, I'm sure they have a conscience.... or do they?

Human nature is a strange thing. The mind of a human can go on a long way as long as it feels that what is being done is "right".
To us, what they do is inhumane and simply savage. But to them, they don't see it the same way, it's all about what point of view you see things. If you look at things from our side, we see the people that came out of nowhere and kill innocents. To them, they see others as the enemy, and for them, killing the enenmy is a good thing.
Why do they see civilians as enemies you ask? It's all politics. It's all a ****** up game. The stage is set in the world, politicians are battling each other and hide and take cover behind the backs of their civilians. On one side, you have politicians squabling on how they want to promote freedom and peace, but behind the scenes, they strive to destroy the other politicians in other countries. To do so, their best bet is not to kill the politician themselves but to go for the poor and blameless civilians. they know that by hurting them, they hurt their politicians. and so they brainwash some peope and make them believe in ultimate blessing and happiness once they kill the "enemy".
In the eyes of the terrorist, they don't see their targets as innocent civilians but rather as bad guys.
the main question i can't answer is: How in the world can someone be so close minded and fool enough to fall for the political game? NO matter how naive one can be, how can this person be convinced one day that killing innocents is something acceptable?

there must be a way to stop all the foolish wars, terrorism etc.. And it is to tell the powerful countries to stop being so biased, to look at poorer countires with a better way, to help out more, to fight poverty and discrimination, to be fair to everyone. Once this is set, once eevryone is treated equally, then i do beleive that peace and happiness wil reign. but until then, the world will stay as ****** up as it has always been. and things are not getting any better either.

How do other murderers sleep? Do GIs sleep after doing the same in Iraq? Did the men in Vietnam sleep? After killing, some people are numb with experience, even cops, but the second time is different and for some, killing produces a euphoria and then a thrill. The great danger is that they begin to enjoy it. Life means nothing to them. A war or a conflict plays hell with emotions and the men are devastated of normal thoughts and sensitivities. We delude ourselves by thinking that there are men who care so little about life that they will kill anyone, those men too went through hell to achieve the mindlessness needed. If your family has been killed in the most brutal way, then you also want to kill and then is there an end or a beginning?

The types of devastations that Mumbai witnessed on 7/11/2006 is just one of the thousands of incidents India has gone through. Though staying in the US we get to see and hear only what the media portrays and as mentioned in http://ia.rediff.com/news/2006/jul/12nri.htm?q=tp&file=.htm , not much we can do about it sitting here; one thing that I have decided is to stop spending any of my money at any Pakistani restaurant/store which would potentially aid the ruthless acts. May be my I am very critical in my comments and I am not sure how helpful my resolution would be for the cause I have in mind; but I shall certainly not be the NRI who thinks "There is nothing I can do, and it hurts"

The same way US military men and leaders sleep at night after dropping a 500 pound bomb on civilians by mistake??? I guess it's because they aren't there, looking the people they kill and maim in the eye when they do it, but do it from a distance.

i'm an American, and that i have not in my opinion killed or requested the killing of yet another individual; I genuinely have in no way voted for a conflict or the route of money to a conflict; i replaced into not alive in the course of the final public of the conflicts you listed. and that i know many, many those who're an same position as i'm. for this reason, that's unfair responsible ALL people for the atrocities commited with the help of persons or governments without their know-how or approval. certain, conflict is hell and an evil and all of us favor those issues did not ensue. notwithstanding the rational actuality is they do. The extra needed element you're ignoring is: who all started the conflict, and were the innocents the intentional or unintended aims? certain, Hiroshima and Nagasaki were poor - yet so replaced into Pearl Harbor and Nanking. Dresden replaced into tragic - yet so replaced into the sinking of the Luistiana. Afghanistan replaced into undesirable - yet so replaced into 9/11. i'm not putting forward the yankee authorities or people were continually innocuous - yet we weren't continually the aggressors, both.

The same way a soldier kills. They beleive in what they are doing. There is a cause greater than themselves to honor by killing. Its funny how the lines get blurred. After all, the Allies were defending terrorist tactics by Serbian rebels in WW1.

Someone who commits a terrorist act, such as killing innocents, usually believes that he(she) is doing the right thing for his(her) cause. So I don´t think they regret anything until the moment they change their minds about their own actions, if theyr ever do.

These people have been assured that their behavior is sanctioned either by a higher spiritual power or the belief that they represent the oppressed masses in their quest to be free of tyrannical rule. As history shows, however, this behavior is always just a substitution of one tyrant for another.

They got tips from the White House. That's why the Saudis were quietly shuttled out of there after 9/11. Shhhhh! No one's supposed to know!

These people have no consience. Its just the way they were raised. Alot of this contributes to their beliefs also. They belive that if they die for these types of things, their "God" will accept them. They all have a very strange sick way of thinking and believing; but they must think the same about us. Whats normal to us isn't normal to them. Vise Versa.
