i lost my installation cd... so i downloaded the drive from the company website and installed it... but after installing the sofware i'm not able to install the hardware... what do i do...

What do you mean you are not able to install hardware???? Are you talking about the driver? First plug in your web cam. You should see a message "Found New Hardware". If the driver got installed along with the web cam software, then you will see a message "your new hardware is installed and ready to use". If that doesn't happen, ownload the driver from the site from where you downloaded the web cam software. You should be able to install the driver using the "Found New Hardware" wizard.

Contact the manufacturer through their website, let them know what the problem is and ask if there's some software, other than what you already have, that would work for you.
As far as installing the hardware, all you have to do is plug it in. You connect hardware or peripherals to your computer, you install software in or on your computer.

a million. receive the present application from the Logitech information superhighway web site. 2. stop paying for ridiculous hardware for gaming. you do not use 6 cores (not 12, you're counting hyperthreading) or 24gb of ram for gaming! you should have bought a ridiculously superb gadget for round $3000. 3. stop toting about how a lot you spent on a gaming gadget in a help communicate board.

Go to google , type the hardware model of your webcam in the search field and download the driver...
