There are some serious diseases of which this is a symptom. Maybe go to the doctor??? and diarrhea can kill you (ever hear of cholera?)

Please drink LOTS of water - you can get dehydrated easily.

Foods that will help with diarrhea are:

Bananas
Rice
cheese (if you aren't lactose intolerant - otherwise it will make it worse)

Yoghurt is also good to replentish intestinal bacteria that help with digestion. Spirulina (from health food stores) is also good for that.

But, go see a doctor. A week's worth of bad runs is not a good thing. Make sure it's not something serious but curable.

Starve yourself for 24 hrs and use a salt replacement liquid therapy. This is essentially a mixture of water, salts and a small amount of sugar. It is easy available in most Pharmacies as a dry powder you add to potable drinking water or you could use an "Isotonic" sports drink. It is essential that you replace fluids lost as continued dehydration causes continued symptoms. Normally a minimum of 1.5 litres (3 pints) is required each day. You may also use any Loperamide formulation (Tablets, Capsules), although if your symptoms have continued for a full sevn days this may be of limited use. Fluid replacement is crucial and should be used in conjunction with the Loperamide.

If you have used fluid replacement and the condition has really continued for seven days you need to seek medical advice promptly.

since it has been a week call your Dr. and make an appt. While your waiting for your appt eat the BRAT diet. the brat diet helps to get rid if diarrhea, it consists of; plain toast, plain cooked white rice, bananas, and apple sauce. and for god sake, stay away from dairy products, this only makes it worse
B=bananas
R=rice
A=apple sauce
T=toast

see a doctor - you may have an intestinal infestation or something, but if you're having diarrhea for that long you could become seriously sick as it would throw off your electrolye balance, or cause an infection in your perineal area due to skin break down.

I would see a doctor immediately!!!!! You may have any number of risky ailments (including contagious ones). Of course it is uncommon!! You are at serious risk of dehydration on top of that.

Go to the doctor now. You may have a bacterial infection that will only respond to treatment.
