Why do people dress so badly?

I don't understand. Is it that they don't care how they look or do they honestly think that the garbage in their closet looks good?

Ah! Thank you for asking! I feel exactly the same! It drives me nuts... unfortunately, I guess those people are shallow and that's all they have. That simple, really. Trashy people can only wear garbage for clothes... it's sad really. Oh, what would I do if I could make everyone wear modest clothes of good taste...! It'd be so nice to see everyone normal, instead being dressed like from a garbage can or such... at least there are SOME who've still kept dignity! I just try to avoid the weirdos. Don't even LOOK at them and it helps. Maybe these people will evolve more and all of the crappiness will move on and away (forever hopefully) ! Dressing up nicely and what suits your figure, has nothing to do with a cost of clothing. You can by clothes at Walmart and Target and still look stylish. That's a first misconception about fashion that it has to be expensive.

Scrunchie, for example, every time I see this thing on a woman I want to pull it off her head and burn it in the spot, this thing is sometimes more expensive than regular black elastic for hair.

Over sized t-shirts, don't cost less than fitted t-shirts, to all big women, you are not hiding your weight under these "should only be sold in men section" shirts. They actually make you appear bigger than you are.

Jeans that come up to your arm pit don't look good on anyone, you don't have to get ultra low rise but please find middle.

Skinny jeans should only be worn by skinny people, if you're overweight and wear tapered leg jeans it makes you look like an ice cream cone.

If you're not going to follow these rules at least don't complain that your husband doesn't find you attractive or you can't get a date.

It appears that there has been a concerted effort on the part of the fashion industry to casualize and uni-sex fashions. I yearn for the days when generally women dressed in skirts/dresses with pantyhose and men were the sex who wore pants.

There's a lot of people that can't afford to dress good. I notice that the Chinese in N.Y. dress like they just woke up from there bed. I'm a jean & t-shirt kind of guy with cowboy boots of course.

i don't know why and most of the time it is reach people. they either dress like s l u t s or like hobos with no style. and it is really sad

i think that they just want attention.. people that dress badly usually have problems at home, etc. most dont have the best lives a person could have. they're not usually bad people, just have some problems that they dont know how to deal with and thats probably why they dress like that.. idk just wat i think.

iagree but what can you do everyone has a different style and you just have to look away when they are hurting your eyes with their outfit.

mosdt of the people who dress badly think it looks good. you can tell when they don't care about their appearance. some people don't want to be noticed so they dress plainly.

1st--they simply don't care... and prefer comfort over looks
2nd--they try too hard to look different and make a statement
