Why would you ever think that a child asking a question like that should be getting his or her answers from a group of strangers on the internet?
You need to grow up. These types of questions should be answered at home. Out here in the big bad world are all sorts of predators. Telling the child that they are too young to know is the right answer.

Well u obviuosly dont have a child other wise u would know.
There is loads of reasons why u dont tell them obviously if a child is five and learnt a new word we dont need explain as it doesnt effect them to know either way, evan if they ask what one is.......
u cant just tell children what they want to know, there are many factors envolved in deciding to tell a child something. There is such things as the parent wanted to keep the childs innocence.
they dont need to know untill they are old enough to a) understand, and b) able to spell the word there asking!

Well technically it was a question so the response was an answer. I personally dont use that response to people, I tell it like it is. Calm down its not anything to get your undies in a bunch about. If one person wont tell you, then you can always ask somebody else or research it. That always works.

Because people don't want to open a 'can of worms.' Sometimes adults don't want to spend the time talking to kids. (Especially their own.) It's really sad.
