No, not entirely. It has had Mormon executives and has a close relationship with the LDS church, but it is a legitimate supermarket chain that does not hire (at any level) based on religion.

Richard L. King is Mormon, and he started Albertsons in 1963. In 1996, he was promoted to President and COO and served in that capacity until June 1999 when Albertsons merged with American Stores.
