I DON'T KNOW. WHY IS IT EVERYTIME I PICK MY NOSE A FEW MINUTES LATER IT'S FULL AGAIN?

Great question, and in my personal experience, I would answer that:

1) I'm not sure where else I can sing it...I tried singing it once at work, but was banned from the cafeteria.

2) I thought it was only sung in places like Philly, where we may already be in the ballpark, but are forced to suffer through an exhibition of poor fundamental baseball by overpaid players, managed by an idiot, under a front office that is more clueless than either. So, it's an appeal of sorts.

5 for a small beer and I took 75 to the game with me. That's just about all I am capable of singing. I'm drunk and I'm broke and I don't have cab money to get home.

Life is good.

Its tradition... and just about the only song we knw that is devoted to baseball.

here in Texas we also sing "the stars at night are big and bright (clap, clap clap, clap) deep in the heart of Texas..." during the seventh inning stretch
