Hi there
You know the world has been screaming for him to explain. People on Yahoo have been demanding he explain. Now he is going to everyone is still bitching about it. A few days ago it was...you should explain and now it is... he is trying to justify. Seems no matter what he did, explain or not, certain people will still criticise whatever decision he makes in relation to this.

I think probably he knows he has fans all around the world, not just France, that care for and support him and he would most likely feel that he owes them some sort of explanation. I have not heard of him asking for sympathy, he has remained silent. But with that said he does not seem to have deviated in his story. He has not changed his story. I think he really wants people to hear his side of things. We will have to wait and see whether he asks for sympathy. I do not think that is what he wants. It will probably be more along the lines of an explanation and apology to his team, country and fans.

i agree with "andygurl"
he's just trying to explain... since it seems that everyone is still up in arms about him headbutting Materazzi. what's sad is that either way the ridiculous barrage of criticism won't stop. like anyone can really reproach him for what he did. he lost control and what he did was wrong, true... but doesn't that happen to all of us sometimes?

I think he cares about his fans, who want to know the truth. He is a great man, and knows that we all deserve an explanation. can't wait to find the truth...And no matter what he will say, I will always consider him a great player!

maybe he feels he has to explain why he head-butted the italian player... none of us was there on the field, so for most of us, it woulda seemed like Zidane was just playing dirty

Because everybody is asking... besides if rumors are true FIFA should suspend Materazzi for life.

Currying for sympathy to dilute criticisms about his physical assault; attempting to justify his action. Pathetic.

Because it is wrong to denigrate someone for their race/religion/ et cetera. By saying "His comment made me so angry... ," he is pointing out the other guy's heinous conduct.
