Does anyone know who sings the rock ballad "Almost There"?

it came out in the early 90's (92-93?) and I remember some lyrics:

Do you remember
We were almost there
When you need someone
You really need someone

You said you had the need
To really hurt someone
See what you've done

That's all I remember. I think it was a hard rock band, and they were probably from the NY/NJ area. Any help would be great. Thanks.

I remember the lyrics you wrote. But I can't think of the song...sorry. Man it's like going to bug me all day now trying to think of it.
