I'm looking for a guide that will help me power level, preferably a guide in text not video, for free. Does anybody know of one?

The best way to level is to do all quests available in your current zone. The monsters in you zone should be within 3 - 4 levels of you so at level 8, you should be in a zone that has monsters from 4 - 12.

Quests are ALWAYS the best way to get large chunks of experience. So do all that you find and you'll soon be averaging a level per hour until you are about level 20 then it takes several hours per level. The trick to getting to 60 is finding the right zones to be doing quests in. Typically the quests you work on are the clue...they often send you to the next zone to complete.

When you grab a quest, read it carefully. If you do not know what to do in order to complete the quest, look up the name of the quest on http://www.thottbot.com/ type the exact name of the quest from your quest log such as "For Love and Family". Thottbot will show you the location of the quest giver, also where you turn it in when you are done. Additionally, if you scroll down on the thottbot page you'll see discussion about the quest and in 90% of these pages there is information enough to help you complete the quest.

If it took you forever to get to level 8, you should just quit the game unless you had a lot of fun doing it. the game really doesnt start until 60.

but- all you need to do to powerlevel is join a guild and your guildmates will help you level up, there is no need for any guide.

Uhh..what have you been doing that it took you forever to get to 8, esp. on a rogue? I think there are links available on the wow website. Just do your quests, log out in inns and cities for that rested exp, and grind on mobs your level and a little higher.
