Go to your mom and explain to her that it is bothering you because you are geting teased so much. If she still tells yous it's not the time, find your mom's razor and do it yourself. Just take the razor and start at the bottom of your leg, and move the razor up slowly (you don't want to cut yourself). You just have to keep in mind that razors are very sharp. Make sure your leg is wet. Use shaving cream (if your mom has any), or tons of soap. That works too. Before you have to attempt this alone, I sure hope your mom can understand. It's not fair to you!

When my daughters were in 5th grade, the grade that all that teasing seems to start, we experimented with non-shaving options. We tried Nads, Nair, and waxing. Then I got them each a really good razor, shaving cream, and I showed them how to shave properly. They both decided that they preferred waxing, but it was too expensive to do once a month, so for the time being, they'd shave. That was four years ago and they're still shaving. The key to getting through to your mom is to get her on your side. I saw how mean the other girls could be, so when they asked, I didn't have a problem with them "being too young" or anything like that. She needs to be on your side and then it won't be a fight.

Saving your own money and getting your own razor are GREAT ideas because they show your mom that you are independent and resourceful. She's more likely to come to your way of thinking once she realizes you HAVE actually thought it through! You could also try the alternatives to shaving, like my daughters did, to further convince her you are determined and this is important to you.

Good luck! And be careful with the sharp, sharp razor.

You know what, I had the same problem with my mum when i was younger. How about you suggest another form of hair removal. Waxing or an electronic hair removers are good, because over time your hair will stop growing back, unlike shaving. You hair will grow back thicker and you will have to shave more frequently.
As for your mum, well she is probably just having trouble coming to terms with the fact that you are growing up. Give her time and get an older female family member on your side (such as you gran, aunties, cousins etc..) to help her realise.
And if all else fails, just wear jeans and long pants... because its what you will be doing when you can't be bothered shaving your legs!!!
I hope this helps you, and good luck.

If you are getting teased, then it's definitely time to start shaving. Talk to your Mom again and explain to her that you are a young lady who needs to start taking care of her body.

Never shave with soap or a dull razor. And after shaving, moisturize without fail.

Just try to say- Mom, I think that its time I start shaving. My legs are getting hairy and the kids at school tease me about this. If she does let you buy a razor, I reccomend Intution. Its a special razor that works just awesome. Try looking it up on Google. Hope this helps. =]

How old are you? Ask your mom what age she thinks it IS OK to shave..........

Or - ask your mom why she says you don't need to and then you can discuss when she thinks it is OK.

Don't be in too big a hurry to grow up. Also - know in your heart what you think about things so that your friends / acquaintenances "teasing" doesn't sway you!

Ask your mom if you can just shave to see what it feels like.

Tell her you don't want to be teased and ask her very nicely (pretty please) and if she sees how important this is to you she should listen. Also explain that you know that she doesnt want her little girl to grow up but she can't stop that. I'm sure if you go about this in a calm way she will listen. Good luck.

How old are you? Are you in elementary or middle school? If You are in middle school just tell her what you just told us, you get teased, and hopefully she will allow you to shave. Just remember do it with your moms consent.
