When I lived in the "country" outside city limits and saw road kill, I looked in the yellow pages under Government/County and called the Road or Transportation or Highway Department. If you don't see the listing, try under Government/State. As a last resort, if road kill poses a potential danger (automobile accidents), 911 will give you info as to who to call (be sure to state that it is a potential hazard to motorist)

The 'county' is obliged to clean-up any road kill but that office relys on the timely info from its citizenry and other goverment officials, e.g. the highway patrol, the local sheriffs & deputies, DNR/ forest service etc. There is a number you can call in your designated county to get attention to recent road kill on the road.

Usually the DOT (Department of Transportation) takes care of the roads and removes the road kill.

Call up the DOT or the Humane Society, depending on whether or not it is someone's pet.
