So my wedding is on November 25 and we live in Oklahoma. November weather here is hit and miss. It could be mild or it could be freezing. (That close to winter cold is more likely but you never know in this freak state - we could have a hurricane for all it mattered and no one would think it was weird). Either way I have a strapless dress and need some suggestions as to what to wear with it for travel and maybe at the reception if I get cold. (Obviously I won't be wearing it at the ceremony)

My wedding colors are a muted royal blue and and dark minty green. My wedding is inside as is my reception. I thought about a wrap but I'm horrible with those and they are kind of constricting since you have to hold them in place. Any suggestions and where I can get these things for not much money?

That is my dress.
(My fiance doesn't know about this account so he won't see it.)

I was taught that your dress should reflect the season outside...your dress is very summery and adding a small bolero jacket or shrug would be perfect. The wrap takes too much effort to keep looking great.

At first I would have dismissed the idea of a jacket over a dress, but I was at a wedding last year and the bride had a strapless dress just like yours (but with intricate stones and beading on the bodice) and had a long sleeve, cropped bolero jacket and it looked amazing!

Found this one at David's Bridal...see if they'll custom it for you with similar materials/detail as the dress.

Is it a iciness wedding ceremony? i have considered some alluring gowns with intense necklines and lengthy sleeves that thoroughly conceal the decrease back - flow seem at some bridal magazines, there are a decision of techniques! also, if the tattoos are sufficiently small, you're able to cover them with flesh-colored patches so they don't instruct by the gown.

A friend of mine had a fake fur stole that fastened around her shoulders so she didn't have to hold it. I'd stick with something white, but make sure it matches the white of your dress - even though you'd only be wearing it outside. You might also look into shrugs, though I'm not sure how well the styles would go together.

Well for starters maybe Davids bridal would have something you could purchase cheaply. I would think that during the reception since your gonna be dancing and walking around your not gonna get to cold.

Unfortuantly there aren't many good wedding shrugs out there. I found mine at a department store, but they no longer carry it. However, you could spend less on a dress and maybe spring for a more expensive shrug somewhere fancy.
