So, the US has 4th of July, France has Bastille day. What about those other countries we never hear about?
Does England or Scotland have an independence day?
Anyone know the name and dates of holidays like this in other countries?

Actually, gloria, Bastille Day has everything to do with Independence Day. Bastille Day celebrates the creation of the modern French government and constitution. The Bastille was a prison where people were kept on the whims of the kings. By storming the Bastille, the people of Paris were symbolically showing their rebellion against the absolutist monarchies that dominated the French people before the National Assembly was established.
