If a 12-16 year old cannot go see a rated -R movie without an adult, why do they have to pay adult admission to get in to a G, PG-13, PG or even a R rated movie if they are not adults ;)

Good question. I think this age group is treated unfairly a lot of places where you have to pay adult prices, because you are not yet an adult by law. I think there should be pricing for the 12-16 year olds. Maybe a $1.00 more, but not the full adult price.

People are willing to pay for it. If nobody went to the movies the prices would come down. It is simple economics

because it is hard now days to tell the difference between a teen- ager and an adult,physically that is.

Normally (where I am) there is a general admission, and a student admission.
