so you are coming to 5 months! if you ask any gynae, they will sing the same song; You should not be controlling your weight at this stage as your foetus is dependable on you 100%...
you may start reducing your normal intake of food at the 8th - 9th month as the placenta is taking over as the nutrients source.
i am presently at 37 half weeks and i practice yoga, that really helps and i stick to high grain food throughout my last trimester. then after labour, you should opt for post natal massage...i took 15kg only!!

That is actually about right for your weight gain. You should be more concerned about eating healthy and correct foods and careful exercise then the amount of weight you gain. Also, you should be drinking a lot of water, stay away from caffeine if you can. If your doctor is not concerned about your weight gain, then neither should you.

Also, if you breastfeed after the birth, you will loose the weight faster. Breastfeeding burns more calories and releases a hormone that assists in the contraction of the uterus back to it's pre-pregnancy size.

Go to your library and get some books on pregnancy nutrition. "What to Expect When Your Expecting" is pretty good. It tells what different kinds of foods support the baby's development of different body systems. I am sure you would rather spend a couple extra weeks getting in shape after the pregnancy than have some kind of developmental defect from improper nutrition.

I have had 2 kids and am 16 weeks pregnant with my third. I was 5'10" and 130 when I got pregnant with my first and 135 when I got pregnant with my 3rd. I have gained approx. 35-40 pounds with each pregnancy. Most of my weight gain happened between 16 and 20 weeks.

Good Luck!

Weight gain is different in each pregnacy. 30lbs is normal. ( if you are an average weight) You shouldn't try and diet while pregnant. If you work out like you say you will lose it fast once the baby is here. Make sure you breast feed too b/c this helps your stomach muscles contract and you will lose weight and tone your stomach just by doing these. ( in most cases by the time you go to your 6 week follow up appoinment you will have lost your weight) I did with all three of my kids and i don't work out. Good luck! ( if you are determined to not gain a lot of weight try eating good protein food and walking a lot.)

oftentimes, weight earnings can propose something. standard, they propose you in basic terms earnings 20-30 kilos even as pregnant (depending lots on you - correct, weight, health, etc - formerly you get carry of pregnant). There are some circumstances which will reason you to maintain water, so this is yet differently to attain weight even as pregnant. 15 kilos for 18 weeks ought to nicely be alot, or it ought to nicely be ok. i'd actually verify with the health care specialist, because in case you earnings too a lot weight it places a stress on the toddler (now to not instruct your body!) they'll inform you once you're doing ok weight smart or in case you ought to replace a number of your conduct.

It could be water weight gain. Are you retaining fluid? If that's the case, nothing will help you lose the excess weight until you give birth...I don't think diuretics are safe during pregnancy.

It could be your baby that is gaining the weight inside. The next ultra sound should be able to help find that out.

Don't worry about that right now. The health of your baby must take precidence over whether or not it's convenient to lose a few extra pounds later.
