I'm going to my husbands friends suprise 30th birthday next weekend. This guy is gay and is quite well off so presumably has most things he wants already. What do i buy him?

Thanks for you comments, but i would like to point out that him being gay has no bearing on how i treat him as person i just thought it might give you more info as to what he might like.

It's nice that you are giving this some thought! Don't give him anything in the clothing line. He probably has his own taste in clothes and it is probably better than most other guys. I think a gift card to a nice restaurant would be OK, or a subscription to a popular magazine like People, or some other one that is in your area. Treat him like he is...just a man. Don't let the gay thing interfere with your decisions. Good Luck

I suspect that any friend of Dorothy would enjoy a copy of the book called 'Wicked' which is the story of the Wicked Witch of the West from the Wizard of Oz. A different perspective on a classic tale and very uber-gay.

depends on how much u wanna spend? I know a lot of guys now a days like playing video games so u could get him a game or a couple tickets to his favorite baseball or football team. Just because he is gay does not mean he is not a guy who likes doing guy things. If u want to be different u can get him a deck of cards with naked men on them.

I know a lot of gay guys, and they are the most wonderful people!!! I love being around them because they are so much fun! I think you should suprise him with maybe a pet. My gay friends love there pets, it takes the place of kids! I would get him a furry friend whether it be a cat or dog, he would love it!!

Something small and exquisite....like a gold tie-tack, or a unique paperweight, a small piece of art or an very nice writing pen. Silk pocket squares would also be appropriate or something nice for the kitchen if he cooks (pot holders, towels set or a tile trivet).

Most of these guys have really good taste, so you want to give them something nice. You could give a gift certificate to any place that sells nice household items. Don't be too cheap though!

You could ask him what he likes and maybe find out what he would want When I get stumped I just ask What would you like for your B-day? Gift cards are always a nice idea

Get him something money can't buy. Get him an account on Gmail which is google mail. You need to find someone who has gmail already and get him to invite your gay friend. Incidentally, gmail is not gay-mail but google mail... but it's very funny. :-)

I'm sure he will appreciate it. I hope he has a sense of humor.

Him being gay doesn't have much to do with his present. It's about knowing who he is as a person....Think of what his interests are and then but a gift accordingly.
