Most likely allergies/pollen. Even if you never had problems before, you can start having allergy issues at any time. Either that or you had an ear infection that went untreated and its no clearing itself out. I wouldnt worry too much. If there is pain, or you just cant stand it, try taking some anti-histimines like benadryl.
