you can travel alone when you are 14 (check aa.com website). I'm not sure if you can purchase tickets, but if you don't have a credit card you might have to go to the airport and buy them with cash. You can even change airplanes alone when you are 14.
My 5-yr-old grandson just flew alone. Except he has to have an adult claim him at the airport. Not sure if you are 14. Look at airlines websites to see their policies. Sometimes there is an extra fee for minors traveling alone.

A 14 year old is a minor and a minor needs a parent or caregiver to make arrangements for you. At 18 you will be able to conduct business agreements and contracts by yourself. You may travel alone at 14, but the parent has to approve. There's all kinds of danger lurking for teens who think they are adults and that's the reason for parents/caretakers making sure the minor is safely taken care of when out of their physical boundaries.

sorry...airlines require you to be 15 unless you have parental consent and you are escorted by the airline. You will also need id...like a passport or an id card issued by the state. School id is not good enough

The price of aeroplane tickets depends on which place that you are going to. For example, if you are going to England, it will cost you approximately $3,000 U.S. Or if you are going to Cancun in Mexico, it will able to cost you approximately $500 U.S. If you want to go to either England or Cancun, you must always ask your parents for permission to go to either one of these 2 destinations.
