The MultiMediaCard (MMC) is a flash memory memory card standard.
Typically, an MMC card is used as storage media for a portable devices, like digital camera, cellular phones, digital audio players, digital cameras and PDAs.
For example, a digital camera would use an MMC card for storing image files.

Multi-Media Card.. you can store anything you like ,in sizes 32mb right up to a Huge 4gb.. mainly used in mobile phones and music players & Cameras.. also, you can get a SD card.(secure digital).. which are used similarly and in cameras and laptops etc.sd cards are slightly thicker... you will need a USB2 card reader in order to put files etc on these cards.. you can get a good Quality bargain card/reader at Moby Memory.com
(a 2/4 gb Mmc card is handy for backing-up all your important Documents etc...) hope i helped.

you're not from now on going to get the completed 512Mb..its because of the necessary storage drivers on the memory card itself...lets say u purchase a a million Gig memory card..you'll only get about 980Mb storage...it sucks yet thats the way it is going..
