because the answers you would receive would be stupid. On its own it doesn't provide scope for a sharing of knowledge, it allows people to gain two points for little or no answer at all. it needs additional information before it can be answered in a thought provoking manner. If that question was allowed, then you'd have this place full of more mindless drivel like 'who?' 'where?' 'When?' 'what?'

"Why" isn't really a question...well, it is, but it should be following (or before) some more details. When you ask "Why?" you usually get an answer of "Why what?"...there has to be more detail to make it a valid question. When you report abuse in Yahoo, one of the categories is "Not a question"...so maybe too many people felt that it was not a question and reported you, and maybe Yahoo agreed, and took it off.

i wonder myself why they remove something that doesnt seem to harm anyone then let others say and do things much worse i think they arent even looking theyre just deleting at random
