I can get into Family Guy because it is just simply insane. I mean come on...a dog that talks and drinks and it is accepted as normal and a toddler that is bent on world domination and offing his own mother and no one notices.
My favorite though has to be The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy. Yes I know its a kid show, but it's still dark and twisted, but still light-hearted enough to be a kid's show. Mandy is down right evil and Billy is a complete idiot. It is just stupid fun!!!
Another good show is The Boondocks on Adult Swim. It is funny but it also breaks a lot of barriers. It makes you think and removes stereotypes. You have a young black male from a major city moved out to the suburbs by his grandfather, and he seems to be the only thinker above all, even the adults. (You have to check out the Christmas episode.)

Of all time? Probably Rocko's Modern Life. I wish I could still find places that it was on TV. It had truly unique characters, wacky animations, just enough utter grossness to make it appealing to 10 year old boys, and Rocko is a good role model. always trying to do the right thing.

I grew up with Popeye and he's still my number one. In fact I have accumulated quite a collection of DVDs of his old cartoons.
To choose one that is more current I would go with "Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends." It's so stupid it's hysterical. Of course my 13 year old son tells me all the time that it's written by crack heads...................

My all-time favorite is the Smurfs. I loved them! And Gargamel and Ariel! La-la-la-la-la-la.....
But since I can't watch them anymore.... boo-hoo!... I would have to say that Simpsons has been my favorite since it first started because it was so different than anything else at the time. It's always fun to watch.
Family Guy is a lot funnier though (my favorite episode was the one where they lose their car at the Indian Casino - I laughed so hard that I almost peed on myself!!).

Boondocks--sarcastically hilarious, sounds racial.. but it's really not.
Fairly Odd Parents -- I love every character on the show.. they're so unique.. you can relate to one of them. Reminds you of the time when you were in school (for the unpopular kids)
