If it is a dollar coin then about $18.00 in Very-fine grade.
Check the back of the coin below the wreath if there are letters "CC" then the coin is $120.00 in very-fine.
Of course the better the quality of the coin the higher value it gets.

The value will depend on what it is. All US coins say E Pluribus Unum, so it depends on what denomination. The second consideration is the grade. You can find many websites that will help you grade the coin. Then when you have both pieces of information, many other websites will list the value of the coin, in their estimation.
Overall, my first guess would be your coin is a V nickel, as this was the first year for them, and they were saved in large numbers. If the coin have a large V on the back, that is the coin.

well it depends coins are priced on scales of condition 4-is fair 6- is good 14- is extra good 30- is fine 60 - is extra fine and 70- is mint condition proof coin 4 will have bad corrosion 6 will have bad corrosion but u will be able to see just the date and outline of the figures 14 the hair and face will be barely visible along with the date and leters a 30 is godd you can see the facial features the hair lines the letters and numbers will be more clear 60- is fine your are able to see everything only with a few scratched and very little ware a 70 is perfect 1 or 2 scratches and is in the codition when it was first made. know you can also take the coin to a coin shop like a national coin and have them certifie and examine the coin to see how much its worth whitch will cost about 50 dollars. then you will know the true value of the coin and know how much to sell for if you intend selling it .
