"They asked us to come in and it's their own fault that so many Iraqis are dead now because they supplied us with faulty intelligence."
That sounds like one Rumsfeld would say.
"If everyone in Iraq would have been where they were supposed to have been and they were doing what most people would do while our bombs were raining in, such as staying in their basements for three years, there would have been no collateral damage. And what's this civil war nonsense? Iraq has been fighting itself for six thousand years. You just didn't hear a word about it until some soft-belly left-wing press got hold of it and decided to run with it. I'd say it's typical if three hundred to a thousand Iraqis killed each other every week. That's nothing that we had anything to do with."
That's what Condoleezza Rice would say.
"Yes, perhaps we did kill more Iraqis than Saddam Hussein ever did. But you have to take into account that he might have lived maybe five to ten more years and his sons maybe, oh, thirty to forty more years. If you take that into account, we had to have saved, oh, I don't know, at least two or three hundred Iraqi lives in all. So we did a very real and credible job and I thank our dedicated intelligence agencies and our good friends in Great Britain for all that. And Halliburton had a great three years and counting, and there's always the oil we commandeered, and my energy businesses are spreading in Iraq like wildfire right now."
That's what Dick Cheney might have said if someone slipped him some truth serum.
"My only mistake I've made since I've, I've been President is that, uh, I, umm, I, ah, I defeated Iraq too quickly and that's why we have so much resistance and infighting there now. If we'd taken another week or two like we originally planned, we would have had time to have set apparatus in motion that would have defeated the insurgents."
Unfortunately, that's what George Bush DID say at the 2004 presidential debates, word for word, stammering and all.
"And the reason we rushed for the oil fields first is because we feared the Iraqis would set them on fire. If nothing else, this administration is known for its dedication to protecting the environment. And the reason we didn't drop water or food on Iraq for the first two weeks is because our trained dolphins hadn't finished locating the mines yet. We ah, we, um, didn't want to endanger any lives having people swimming or running for food or water until it we were sure it was safe."
(Like it's safe anywhere when two thousand bombs a day are hitting all over hell.)
The above statement was issued to the press between March 23 and March 24, 2003, the end of the second week of the war, by:
A) Donald Rumsfeld
B) Condoleezza Rice
C) Dick Cheney
D) George Bush
E) All of the above, and almost word-for-word
There is no further lie that this administration could ever possibly utter that would make me so much as bat an eye. This administration could only shock me if, someday, it were to inadvertently tell the truth. Any small truth.
And you can quote me on that.

Iraq does have ties to Al Qaeda..hence "Al Qaeda in Iraq". They even had documented ties pre-war to Al Qaeda and other terrorists regimes. source - all news stations.
They were developing nuclear programs but were abandoned due to international pressure.
WMD were found buried. But they were old and likely were not to be used.
And yes, Iraq was liberated from a brutal dictator. Anyone saying Saddam was not brutal is a 'tard.
The war has killed more Iraqis than Saddam ever did. But the Americans have not. Other Iraqis, who say they're fighting a holy war, have killed their own people. Most of the terrorist sucided and car bombings in Iraq have been targeted toward other Iraqis - not Americans.
so don't go thumbing your nose at America. Support our troops, they'd appreciate it.
Just pray things will work out over there. If you choose not to, at least do something other than complain about it.
Write your congressman or senator.

The minions who run our (or should I say THEIR) Federal government will tell us anything they believe is to their benefit. Truth has absolutely nothing to do with it. And, by the way, ALL of our founding fathers would applaud your use of free speech and your ability to think for yourself. You are far more patriotic than dumbed-down citizens who believe everything they're told. Dumbed-down citizens are the greatest threat to our freedom because they are the kind of people who make dictatorships possible.

I wish I could say that something dramatic might happen, but I doubt it. There are so many lies, no one can keep track. Lie=truth, appearance=reality, propaganda=reality, and the American people are dumbed out.
