I am just about to give up following baseball. I am so tired of the American League with its big money teams headed up by the New York Yankees and George Steinbrenner that I could scream. When are we gonna see some sort of realignment in baseball's business structure so that everybody may once again have a fair shot? Everything is all one sided with a majority of the talent in the American League. I've had it!

In terms of payroll, NL teams make up 8 of the top 12 spots. So any thoughts of the AL 'buying' games is ludicrous. The AL has simply done a better job of determining and developing talent.

What many fans do not know is that Bud Selig has had meetings with all owners on revenue sharing. These owners have been given money from revenues. Now here is the sticky point: what do they do with the money? Do they go out and spend money on talent like the Yankees, Red Sox, and Mets? Or do they pocket the money and run the most financially productive business in the MLB? A ton of the small markets have the capacity for larger budgets but the owners of many of these teams do not look at the team as a team, they look at it as a business venture. That is why many teams with sub par records and sub par payrolls (Pirates, Marlins) are the most financially successful. Just think about this: what is the Marlins payroll this year? Right around 15 million. Now think about how much the team will make in a years time. Look at that profit, it's like buying Wal-mart stock in 1985.

Am I sick of seeing the Yankees in the hunt year in and year out? Yes, but I'm not a Yankees fan. Would I stop watching because of the amount of money they spend? No way. If you are a true fan there is no way this is going to curtail you from baseball. Plus who doesn't like an underdog story? Angels, Dbacks, Marlins (all from within 6 years ago) slaying the big bad Yankees with 1/2 or less payroll. I love baseball in general; all I ask for is competitive playoffs.

For all they crying over the YANKEES Steinbrenner has spent a fortune on some bad players.GO YANKEES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A.L. is dominant right now so get used to it.Every sport has its run and if N.L. steps up "to the plate" they would win.Last nights game showed how well they both played but of course the A.L. won.GottA love that "never give up attitude" They got the job done. Why is that a bad thing?Buying players doesn't guarantee wins.Playing well as a team does so get off the Yankees back just because Steinbrenner is a s***.Other teams have the money to spend and choose not to.Players obviously would rather play for Yankees if given the chance because of its history. The team is a legend.Stick with the game--it's the best!

No way! The American League has two less teams than the N.L.! Yes, the American League has the ever-spending Yankees, but since I'm a Red Soxs fan, I love the A.L. I don't know why you are complaining, the N.L. has a lot of talent in their teams!

The AL dominance is great. And although I do hate the yankees and red sox, their cheaty ways have only encouraged other AL teams like the white sox and Tigers to get better, knowing that they will have to beat one of the two al east power houses to get to the world series.

Red Sux fans terming the Spankmes as ever-spending is hilarious. Guess they forgot the team they bought that won the 2004 World Series.

I hate the Yankees. They lose at something, then they buy someone good! I think it's funny that they don't have as many wins as Detriot though!
