Military style crunches. They will work if you do them right and slow. They are very hard but very effective: you lay on the floor with your feet firmly planted on the florr, then you lift your legs, stretch them out and put them almost onto the floor. Stay in a position with your feet no more than 1/2 inch above the floor and count to 10 and do 10 of those in one set. I advice people not to increase the number of the crunches but the number of the sets, because you can do one set in the morning, another around noon, and another before bedtime and have 3 sets that way. The point though is that you count slowly, and that you pull your stomach in to press your back onto the floor. In time you can add another set from 1 to 2 to 3 and so forth. This is a very, very effective exercise for the belly. Be patient. If you are consistently doing this you should be able to see results in 3 weeks. Try to add a moderate diet where you cut out certain eating habits and drink water instead of sodas and you will lose weight in addition to pulling your stomach in--being able to see results that are much more dramatic...Good Luck

Exercise and watch your diet. The Firm has great tapes and DVDs for abdominal exercises. Cut down on salt which makes you retain water ...not just the salt shaker ...read labels on everything you eat to check sodium content. One rule : the sodium content should not exceed 200 mg. per 100 calories. Canned soups are especially high in sodium. Reducing salt also helps PMS...because when you retain water you also get water on your brain which makes you irritable....that's what my doctor told me.

Eat proper portions, you know on the side of a package they have the calories and stuff? on the side of the Oreo box it says 2 oreos is 100 calories. 2 oreos is a serving. And do maybe some crunches or sit-ups. but make sure you feel you re stomach muscles hurt after-wards. that means you're doing them right.

Cariovascular exercise (running, cycling, swimming, running up and down the stairs). Anything that gets your heart pumping. Sit ups are okay, but they will only strengthen your abdominal muscles. Your stomach will not LOOK any better until you get rid of the layer of fat. Run Run Run

Good diet - lots of fruit and lots of exercises.

You should be more active, sports etc is a great way of keeping healthy.

Also, walk or cycle to places instead of taking the car (if its a short journey....)

Do not eat supper.
You should do sit ups but if you are lazy then at the least you can try to put on a girdle which can firm your tummy.
