What would you do if you caught a Terrorist red handed and about to commit an act of Murder?

Would you tackle him, run away, sound the alarm, jump on his back, punch him in the nuts, faint, panic, kill him? What action would you take. What action should we take if we spotted such a person? Should the government be giving us guidelines on what to do in such a situation? I THINK SO.

If we killed him, do you think we'd get away with it, under the circumstances?

What would you do if you saw a mugger? Or someone commiting a murder? Or rape? Or a bank robbery? Aren't these all types of terrorism? You can never tell what someone is on first inspection. Its only after the fact that you find out what that person really was. Being a soldier i have been confronted with this kind of thing many times. Is the guy in front of me with the AK a terrorist? Or just a local farmer angry cuz we messed up his crop? On the streets its a very different beast. Believe me. Everyone always talks big, but the truth is, if its your first experience with a large scale violence, i.e. murder or bank robbery or whatever, chances are you will either freeze in place, or run. Believe me. It happens to people every day on the battle fields here. It happened to me my first time. But now, having the experience and training that i do, i can say without a doubt that i would react to nuetralize any threat by any means necessary. I am trained in a variety of hand to hand combat techniques and also use of weapons and my surroundings. The problem is, not everyone has had this kind of experience and training. And not everyone is suited to be able to do that kind of thing. The general public should be interested mosltly in self defense. A general knowledge of self defense tactics and principles is the most desired thing and is redily accessible by any person. If your interested in further training, you should consider joining a part time law enforcement or military ocupation. As for general guidlines, how would you avoid being killed by 10lbs of high explosives and nails. Not much you can do about that. And if you live in fear of that kind of thing happening, then they have won. The best thing to do is just become more aware of your surroundings. Take a day or two and look at the things you do. Watch the people arround you. im not saying suspect everyone. That would be stupid. Also, racial profiling is no way to go as a criminal comes in all shapes, sizes and colors. Just be aware.

I would tell them I'm only 12 years old and the most that I can do is threaten them or ask stupid questions until they start to cry from boredom. This is the only logical answer since only a 12 year old would find it easier to punch someone in the nuts rather than kick, unless you're crippled and your legs don't work. Actually if I caught a terrorist about to commit murder, I'd have to let him commit the murder first, otherwise I might be considered a terrorist for making the first move and there would be no real proof that I hadn't just watched too much television and overreacted.

Handling situation like these alwez require brain rather than the "muscle power". In an ideal situation like this, the perfect way according to me would be to gather the support and circle him in. Meanwhile call the police. All those "Unity is a bless" tales are not juz for the primary school books, they may work if executed properly. A red eyed bunch of boiling people along with police sirens all around would easily make any terrorist Wet his pants.

A single person jumping on a dangerous terrorist would be juz the risking every1s life! You gotta play SMART than strong!

It will depend on what the ahole is about to do really. If he's got nothing but a knife and/or a hand-gun and more importantly he dosent see me then I'd attack him immediately for either his neck or his groin, disarming him and proceeding to give him a royal beating before calling in reinforcements (police, though it may be good to do this first if you think you can spare time...this is very rare in life though). If he is a suicide bomber though it would be a lot harder because if you shout "Terrorist!" or "Bomb!" the bastard may just blow himself and everyone around him immediately, but if you do nothing then he will kill many anyways. In such cases yes government guidelines are needed and it is the government's perrogattive to provide these.

Stop him as best I could without taking away his rights under law. Citizen's Arrest, hold him for the authorities.

Remember, your question has me catching him BEFORE he commits an act, and asks me to assume on faith that he is a terrorist. He's probably not going to have a name badge identifying him as such.

If I could stop him I would. I'm not very strong and don't carry a weapon though. I almost always have a camera with me so I'd probably just make a video so the police at least have evidence for a conviction. If other people were around I might try to ask them to help me gang up on him.

A normal guy walking down the street should just sound the alarm (shout, scream, whatever) and get the hell out of the way as fast as he can. Why be a hero and get yourself and more others killed in the process?

I would do what ever it took to kill him as quickly as possible, I am 6' 330lbs, there is very little he could do but die. After I ripped his throat out (with my teeth if necessary) I would gladly wait or call the police and suffer the punishment. Unlike most Is-Lame terrorist, I would want the Arab cowards to see my face. I think any true MAN, that believes he is right in what he does, will not hide in fear like little sissies, or strike back in cowardly ways. If I see him/them, I am telling you now, they would not stand a chance, or I would gladly die trying to stop them.

I will analyse if I can confront him or not. If yes then definitely tackle him with the help of others or alone if no body around. But if situation demands that I should not do anything foolish to avoid any bigger risk to others, I would call the police.

Pray to God for strenghth to knock him out and wrap him in all the pork bacon I can find and hide him in a hole, with just him and the pork and wait a day before I call Authorities. The coward!!
