My husband wanted a boy really badly (why do guys do that?) but when our daughter was born he cried harder than I did and fell in love with her instantly. She is a total daddy's girl and I don't think there is a father on earth who loves his little girl more. Our second is due in two weeks and again he says he wants a boy, but I think this time he knows how much he will love this baby no matter what.
I think that this is a good reason not to find out the gender of the baby during the pregnancy. If my husband knew all along that we were having a girl he would have spent my whole pregnancy disappointed, but since he found out while meeting her in person he was just overjoyed by her healthy existence.

It was the other way around for me. My husband and I wanted whatever we got but I secretly wanted a boy. Ever since I was twelve years old I dreamed about someday having a son. I put more care into selecting a boy's name (as opposed to just settling on a girl's name), I kept calling the baby 'he' while I was pregnant, and I only looked at boy's clothes. We had a boy and I couldn't have been happier. I still wonder if I would have felt different if he was a girl.

my hubby wants a boy really bad, i want a girl. however i am not pregnant or have a child so i do not know. However i know with my dad he wanted a boy (he always did, and he alreayd had two girls) when my little sister was coming about. When he found out she wasnt a he he acctually got mad he did get over it though. With any man though, i think they would be more close with a boy due to they are males and share many of the same intrests. with girls they are just over protective. In the end though i think they do their fatherly duties just as well no matter what comes out.

Hey relax,
He will love the baby either way. What we mostly want is for the child to be healthy. My dad wanted a boy and got a girl instead, he loved me just the same and still does. He is proud of any achievement I reached. He now has a grandson and that is great too LOL. So I played soccer and other sports with my dad but he also cried when I graduated. So relax, enjoy your pregnancy and watch,,,,, no matter what the sex of the baby is, he'll just adore it. Good luck

I'm not married but I'm not what my dad wanted. My father wanted a boy but when he found out that I was a girl which was his third in two different marriages I was disliked by him from birth. He basically don't want anything to do with me from when I was born but now I don't because my parents divorced when I was 6.

while i was pregnant my husband kept telling me that if it was a girl it wasnt his because his mom had 2 boys and his brother had 2 boys so he was sure thats how it was going to work needless to say we had a girl & he now says that when we have another he wants another girl. So the answer to your question is he loves her more than anything

I really wanted a girl after having my two boys...i didn't.. i got myself another little boy. After giving birth my husband said to me "i really wanted a little girl", i gave him a look that burnt holes in his head..but now, our last boy is daddy's little man. He follows and does everything daddy does. My baby boy is always picking me flowers and rocks, saving them in his pocket all day at school and them giving them to me. I know there is a reason i had three boys and no girls. I am sure i am destined to put into this world three good, hard-working, and wonderful men.

I don't have kids but my dad wanted boys and had two girls. my sister and I are 10 yrs apart. When ever he found out my sister was a girl he kept pushing my mom to give her up for adoption when she was born. But I have 13 boy cousins and he treats them wayyyy different then my sister and I.
