I would say the one who has given you this information that america gives more then other countries is a lier. The country who gives most is Switzerland and i even think that america show up under the top ten.

maybe cos most big global companies head offices are in the US so therefor most of the world profit ends up there......follow most companies back far enough and its an american parent company collecting profits...I live in a small town in central victoria australia and the small armed guard company i work for is actually owned by the Bell helicopter corporation who i think have recntly been bought out by someone else but to the local people here we are a local company ......oh the lies of big corporations ....lol....

As for percentage of GNP for giving, I do believe we are rated 23rd or 24th in the world out of 25 industrialized nation. So it seems we give alot but in reality we don't.

may be, u r talking abt Americans individually but as far as America as a country is considered it is gives less money for underdeveloped countries far behind European nations.

Because they tend to interfeire with the counties they shouldn't, they mess 'em up, and then they help restore.
