My husband and I have been going through a divorce for the past year. He took all the furniture and sold the most valuable furniture and threw away everything else that belonged to me, and this was after the recognition statement was sent stating to hold the property until the divorce is final. He is not going to show up at the court date that is in 4 days from now, and I was told by friends near by him that he has been missing for a week. We are both in different states and now I think he went to a different state, I'm asking for spousal support for all my bills that he made which is about 15,000 dollars, have all papers for that and I am getting the child support and custody acknowledged by the state supposedly that he doesn't live in any more so that would stay the same. Do you think I will win my divorce case, and be able to get the money for the furniture or at least half of it which is almost $10,000 to get new furniture?

Win ? No one wins in a divorce - you fall in love you get married - love dies you get a divorce - kind of like birth and death - Let's say you win and you get furniture and other things - how will you feel sitting in a chair he use to sit in - will you sleep better in the bed you both shared - you need to decide if you are fighting to win the right things - or is it just get as much as you can to hurt the other person - let go - you mention about $20K you are fighting for - but how much is the lawyers fee - how many dollars will it take to make you feel better - how many $$$ can take the hurt away - tell the guy - Hey it's over - I control my life - I'm not tracking you down to make life right - life is right without you - thanks for leaving

It sounds like he does have a good case. He does have to make sure though that he has proof that does consider her not capable of taking care of you both. Also it does matter on how old you both are. Depending on your ages the judge may very well ask you who you want to stay with and make the decision from there. Stay strong things will get better

No one wins in divorce. Depends on the lawyer you have and the judge. Also the type of divorce.

You can ask for restitution from him for all your belongings and ask for half of the cost (or replacement) of the furniture he took that was bought during the marriage.

You are asking a "general" question that people can't answer here. You aren't specifying what State you live in. Makes a big difference.
