I'm an ESL/ESOL teacher, so I understand where you're coming from, and it's wonderful you're so motivated.
All of the links you've ben given are good, but I especially like http://www.eslcafe.com.
because you can find penpals online, which is a good way to learn as well as slang and idioms, and free English lessons.
Does the local community college where you live offer free classes? That's another way to learn. Another one is to work where you have to use your English every day...you learn a lot from colleagues. Watching TV helps a lot, too.
Good luck!

Ambleside online is free. It's based on the Charlotte Mason method of doing things. There are several places you can find a "classical" education cirriculum for free. Most are based on the "well trained mind" books. There are other places you can find free or cheap curriculum sources. Some don't go all the way up thru 8th grade, but they will usually at least cover K-3.

Search for the British Council website in your country and take a look there but a really great website is bbc.com (the UK website) there you will find many quizes and tests on various subjects. You do the tests and it gives you the results too. You can practice as much as you want.
