scope of biotechnology?

I'm gonna getting a degree in biotech in Italy... the scope is destroying and conquest the world of course!!
if we'll not succeed in that we can always try to make world live better: for ex insulin that diabetics uses is made by biotechnology ( take the human gene and put in a bacteria, so you can produce it at low price and is less toxic that previous taken from cow...), or try to generate human organs to save lives, or generate newest and better diagnosis tests, generate new drugs less toxic and more specific(ex drugs that can only destroy cancer cells and not the goods ones), generate bacteria against pollution ...
technologies are being even more essential to modern era, can be applied on everything...
