In the UK we hunt foxes, in Spain they fight bulls.
Do you think it is okay to do this? Or are you against it?
Please, people who say foxes are too over populated well there are nicer ways of killing them than chasing them.
Traditions are nice, but times move on and peopl eneed to adapt to that

Yes I know it is illegal, there has been much debate over it.
I did not phrase it well perhaps. Do you agree with the ban or not etc

I am completely against hunting, unless you plan on eating the animals you shoot. everyone and everything needs food to survive, and carnivores happen to need meat, and that's how the world goes round. but since when is killing animals a sport? its as bad as killing people for sport, because in the end, humans are just another species of animal. anyone who hunts for fun should be put in a mental institution because they have homicidal urges. (seriously, if there were no animals, they would kill people instead.)

Nicer ways to kill them...but they are just as dead!

Hunting is a tie to our barbaric past. And some ties should be broken. However, I think its good to understand where we came from.

Hunting for food is ok and there are people that that is an important part of their diet. I am a bit more suspect of fox hunting and Spanish bull fighting but I would not ban it.

American bull fighting is lots of fun to watch though! Sometimes the cowboy wins - sometimes the bull wins! Nobody ends up dead.

Shooting has proven to be too destructive, leads to firearms making their way to criminal elements and rarely results in a clean kill.
Poisoning is indescriminate.
The effects on the fox population are wider than any single animal killed as others move away from a hunted area.

I absolutley hate any form of animal cruelty with a passion.I cant understand why anyone would want to hurt or kill an animal.I recently came across two web sites showing animal cruelty around the world and was disgusted with the way some countries including ours treat animals. The look of fear in those animals eyes would tear your heart apart. But these kind of people obviously have no heart.

I hate hunting but now that fox hunting is banned the farmers will either shoot the foxes or gas them!! So either way you can't win!! Bull fighting is awful but some form of hunting is always going to be there is part of our nature. I dont think we will ever escape that!! x

i can understand the foxes need to b kept under control as they are a threat to farmers and their live stock, i agree tho there are nicer ways to do this.
as for bull fighting i c no necessary point to the so called sport. its just a cruel wicked way for a man to prove himself bigger and better than the beast. well why doesnt the bull get to wind up the matador and then throw spears into his back and neck for fun?

Hunting? sitting in a land rover in a field will a 1million bulb flash light staring at you! it's hardly hunting. If you are shooting foxes who keep killing livestock then i understand. But a general rule should be - if you don't eat it , don't kill it.
Thats why i stick to clay target shooting, they can be a bit tough if not cooked thoroughly.

As long as the animal is killed for food I have no problem with hunting. When they are killed just for sport or for trophies I feel that this is wrong. As for fighting bulls, I think that this practice is barbaric.
